Hi! My name is Nicole Mareno (she/her/hers) and I own Nurture Consulting LLC in Atlanta, Georgia, USA. I’ve been a registered nurse for more than 18 years and I’m passionate about helping you develop a positive relationship with food and your body! As a nurse I’ve worked with people who were trying (and failing) at managing their weight through dieting and exercise. I saw, firsthand, the struggles and disordered eating that came with a desire to shrink one’s body size. I opened my business because I want to help you learn to nourish and care for yourself fully, feel positive about food, and respect your body. My specialty areas include helping clients heal from chronic dieting and all types of eating disorders while managing co-occurring psychiatric issues and/or chronic conditions like polycystic ovarian syndrome or Type 2 diabetes. I offer in-person sessions in Atlanta, Georgia and virtual telehealth sessions for clients within and outside of Georgia. I hold a multistate nursing license with the ability to practice in more than 30 U.S. states. Please click this link to learn more about my multistate license.

I’m a proud Southern Californian and have lived in Atlanta since 2009. I love spending time with family and friends on both coasts, and traveling. My hobbies are running, golfing, skiing, cooking, reading, doing yoga, and watching anything about true crime. I have a great sense of humor and I love comedy. I also really enjoy wine, especially wine being sipped while watching  a sunset!

My Philosophy

I use a whole-person approach to health during my client sessions. A whole person approach means that I consider all aspects of your health (e.g., your biology, physical health, mental health, emotional health, social & cultural background, relationships, sexuality, spiritual needs, financial needs, type of work you do, roles that you perform, your environment, etc.) to be important, related, and relevant to your care. I am committed to providing inclusive services that respect and honor every aspect of who you are. You are the expert of your body, your needs, your goals, your values, etc., and my role is to support you in the process of healing your relationship with food and your body. I want everyone I work with to feel welcomed, listened to, and well-supported.
